We’re proud to announce our inaugural
Mother’s Day Dash … Saturday, May 11, 2013 … 9 am

 

Join us for this casual, family friendly 5K f un run. Your participation will  support our schools and honor the victims of the Boston Marathon. We’re donating $1 from every entry fee to The One Fund to help those most affected by the tragedy.
Even Better … Chris Kipp of Ewing & Clark is offering a challenge grant.

Evergreen Ford

for selecting ISF as its charity of choice for the nationwide ‘Go Further with Ford‘ event on November 15. Evergreen Ford contributed $10 for each person who attended the event, netting the Foundation a $1,000 donation. Thank you Tony Rehn and crew for including us in this unique promotion.

We’re Thankful for You. You fuel our work–providing both inspiration and the resources required to turn great ideas into viable programs.

In fact, a few of our most successful initiatives began as suggestions from our ISF donors and friends. Robotics Clubs’  funding was instituted after students and parents demonstrated the myriad benefits of the program; Financial Literacy — the same.

Even TEALS, the brainchild of a Microsoft employee was brought to fruition with the help of a District parent and Foundation donor.  

The passion, creativity and commitment of our parents, donors and friends inspire us to dig deeper and reach further to meet the needs of our students and schools.

Thank you for partnering with us in elevating and enriching education for all Issaquah School District students.

Have you heard? All in for Kids was Awesome

You Rock PhotoOver 2,045 donors contributed a whopping $366,805 to this year’s campaign. We are grateful to the growing number of families who go ‘All In’ to the best of their ability to ensure All of our students benefit.  We owe a very special THANK YOU to Annual Fund Chair, Camille Vaska and parents Garth Billstin and Rod Putney who came to our rescue with much needed cell phones for our calling nights.

 Strike Up the Band

 

 We were approached last year with a request from Maywood Band Director, Karen Sunmark, for funding to repair and replace aging instruments. Being well aware of the transformative power of art in school, we knew we needed to expand ISF support beyond band. We are working with District Staff to iron out the details on a $100,000 per year Dedicated Fine Arts Fund to support band, orchestra, drama, vocal music, fine arts and visual arts at middle and high schools. Funds raised during All in for Kids and at the Nourish Every Mind Luncheon on May 9th will underwrite this effort.

Thank you for all of your donations and support to our science curriculum. As a student in the Science-Tech program (since I performed my first experiment in 4th grade) science is my new thing. Without the materials and curriculum donated, I wouldn’t be that interested. Our new units are completed because of all the support you have gave us. What a blast we have had achieving our experiments. We all look forward to what you guys have to donate to us next year!
